 The Dolphin® 7900 mobile computer delivers unparalleled performance and value for mobile data collection applications. Its compact, ergonomic, rugged design provides the ease of use and operational reliability needed to excel in robust mobile applications such as package delivery, field service, route accounting, trucking, retail and healthcare.
The Dolphin® 7900 combines durability and usability, featuring an internal magnesium-alloy roll-cage, environmentally sealed housing and wear resistant components. This mobile computer is built to deliver reliable use in demanding mobile applications while its compact, ergonomic design provides intuitive scanning, data entry and voice communications.
The Dolphin® 7900 offers reliability when running scan-intensive applications requiring constant connection to an RF network (11 hours or longer). A hot-swappable lithium-ion battery pack ensures longer battery run-time and requires fewer full charge cycles, greatly extending useful battery life and reducing replacement costs.
Additionally the Dolphin® 7900 contains a number of powerful software tools, including Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.0, capable of reading virtually all linear and 2D barcodes plus capturing digital images. This comprehensive suite of easy to use software tools and utilities provide easy device configuration, application development and remote device management capabilities.

The Dolphin 7900 mobile computer was chosen for implementation in the BMW Logistics Operation in North Warwickshire, when their original terminals needed to be upgraded. The terminals are used to automate the logistics operation in the plant, allowing stock control and ordering to be done via the RF network. The Dolphin 7900 mobile computers have been well received at BMW, improving efficiency within the Just In Time operation run at the plant and offering BMW the reliability they require. |
