PowerNet Terminal Emulation
PowerNet Twin Client software turns the radio frequency terminals into host system terminals with integrated laser barcode scanners. PowerNet Twin Client enables the RF terminals to connect to the Host system using the standard TCP/IP protocol.
It is simply a matter of setting the IP addresses and the terminals are ready to communicate with the host using wireless communications. PowerNet’ s screen formatting utility allows mobile terminals to properly re-size and display a 24 x 80 column screen on the 16 x 20 terminal screen. The Screen Mapping takes place in the terminal. PowerNet running on an RF terminal can reformat screens for display and achieve sub-second response times in data collection applications without the need for an expensive network controller or reprogramming of application.

Standard Terminal Emulation Solution
You may wish to develop your own input programs to run on the terminal screen. This is done simply by writing an input screen on a standard terminal which runs in the top left hand corner using 16 rows by 20 columns.
Screen Mapping Options
Screen Mapping can be a fast and cost effective way to implement data capture directly into your existing host application. The powerful PowerNet Screen Formatting utility allow existing standard input screens to be re-mapped to run on the RF terminal. Selected fields can be displayed on the RF terminal and the input data scanned and/or keyed in. The data is being verified on-line by your host system. No change or reprogramming of the host system is necessary.
