SAP Label Printers - Mobile and Fixed Location

Barcode labels are an important part of the modern warehouse, enabling goods and products to be located and transported, picked and putaway. Barcodes form the backbone of any process based on data capture and so the printing of the barcode labels is a critically important first part of the process. Printing poor quality or badly specified barcodes will lead to many problems and can halt the very best modern ERP system.

Some SAP manufacturing customers have special requirements for printing and the picture below is one example.  Cellular manufacturing can sometimes call for labels which need printing on a desktop printer made mobile enough so that the workspace can be quickly re-configured to maximise productivity or for special projects.

The Printronix T5204r ES printer shown here is equipped with a WiFi interface and is bolted to a special "power cart" which provides mains power to the printer and other small peripherals for a full 10 hour shift.

The T5000r range from Printronix are all Energy Star rated.  this means that they can be left powered on 24/7 but will automatically reduce power consumption to a very low level, while still having an almost instant response to requests to print jobs, saving considerable amounts of money on energy costs and improving companies green energy efficiency rating.
