Thermal Transfer Ribbons
Barcode-IT can supply quality ribbons for your printer, application and label material. Wax, wax/resin or resin ribbons that are not kept in stock can easily be ordered.
What different types of ribbon are there? There are 3 major ribbon types that are used in industry; wax, wax/resin and resin. Resin ribbons are most commonly used in harsh environments with polypropylene or polyester labels, where heat or chemical resistance is an issue. Wax ribbons are most commonly used for printing on paper labels and wax/resin ribbons offer a more durable image again for paper labels.
Ribbons are also available in various colours and lengths to fit most standard barcode printers from the likes of Datamax, Printronix, Printek, Zebra, Sato, Tec, etc.
