At first glance VX9 PC terminals look like ordinary PCs, and they are.. when it comes to looks, capacity and user friendliness. But that’s where the similarities end! VX9 is a computer designed to survive industrial stress: it tolerates shakes, jolts and vibrations in forklift trucks; works well in pouring rain and in dry, dusty environments; and functions in blistering heat and bitter cold. It's cover is light but super strong magnesium and contains a computer and bright touch screen—all in one. That’s why VX9 computer are found in places you’d never dream of finding computers, for example, trucks in freezers and outdoor storage facilities, foundries, metal scrap yards and paper mills. In short: anywhere regular PCs won’t work!

When VX9 computers were installed in a Ford USA plant, a fork lift battery was dropped on one of the terminals. The casing broke slightly but the computer kept on working. The terminals now have a magnesium housing so you can imagine exactly how rugged these computers are now! |
