Dexterity WMS - Voice Directed Workflow

Wavelink Speakeasy Voice direction now offers even more flexibility in the way your workforce manages your warehouse.  Voice technology uses speech recognition and speech synthesis to allow workers to communicate with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).

 

How it works

In simple terms a computer controlled voice, heard only by the operator, directs the worker to the next task and assists them in ensuring accuracy and speed of workflow. As well as hearing commands, operators can respond by speaking back to the system, eliminating typing or scanning of codes into a mobile terminal. Hands free operation and eyes free working, ensure improved safety and a bettVoice Directed Workflow with Dexterity WMSer operator experience, whilst increasing productivity and accuracy.

 

Voice Directed Workflow can be combined with a standard barcode scanning terminal, to allow the operator to complete tasks which may not benefit from Voice Direction. The best of both worlds.

 

The operator wears a personal headset connected to a Wifi Mobile computer ( Datalogic Kyman ). This allows him to hear instructions and speak commands to the system while operating hands free. The computer is worn on the belt and is not normally required to be looked at in normal Voice operations.

Dexterity WMS can automatically interpret voice commands when the operator is engaged in a Voice Picking task, or can instantly switch to standard terminal operation using barcodes, where the operator's task is not suited to Voice. This gives the best of both worlds and each work task and operator can use the most effective technology for the job in hand.
