Barcode-IT to exhibit at Sage Visions 2010
Dexterity WMS for Sage 200 will be on show at the prestigious Sage Visions 2010 event at The Concept Centre, Millbrook on the 3rd November. Visions is the premier UK event for Sage partners and developers and will be the showcase for the latest enhanced version of Dexterity along with the new Dex-S1 and Dex-K1 terminals which Barcode-IT have recently released. The SHS Group Ltd choose Dexterity WMS for SAP from Barcode-IT

The SHS Group Ltd have chosen Barcode-IT to supply their Dexterity Warehouse Management Solution for SAP into one of their group of companies, Caledonian Bottlers. Caledonian Bottlers handle well-known brands like WKD, as well as bottling for Third parties. The Dexterity WMS solution supplied by Barcode-IT will manage processes within Caledonian Bottlers from end of production, through to pallet labelling to receipt and integrates with the existing SAP system. Caledonian Bottlers will be using Cisco WiFi Access Point and Dex K1 mobile handheld terminals alongside the software, the ensure full traceability throughout the facility.

Sco-Fro Foods Ltd chooses Dexterity WMS from Barcode-IT

The Seafood Division of Sco-Fro Foods Ltd has chosen Barcode-IT to supply its Dexterity WMS solution in their new purpose-built Cold Store facility, based in Newton Stewart, Scotland, as part of a £4 million expansion plan. Dexterity WMS will manage the full production process; from Goods In, through Work In Progress, Finished Goods and Dispatch. Dexterity is currently acting as a stand-alone solution, but may be integrated into Navision in the future. As part of the Dexterity WMS solution, Sco-Fro will be using DLoG MTC vehicle-mount mobile computers for fork lift trucks, which are ideal for use in cold stores as they survive in up to -30°C, alongside some specialised handheld terminals that again survive in cold store environments. Sco-Fro Foods Ltd - Seafood Division are suppliers of high quality Scottish Seafood to supermarkets and the food service market in the UK and Overseas.

NiceLabel makes GHS chemical compliance labelling simple
Industries introduce new standard requirements for labelling all the time and the biggest forecast change in 2010 will be the GHS (Globally Harmonised System) Chemical Standard. Companies producing chemicals or chemical based products will be forced to comply with new labelling requirements, which means changes to text and pictograms. Datalogic Mobile release MCL Client for the R-7 terminal
Datalogic Mobile have announced that an MCL Client is now available for use on the R-7 mobile terminal, a part of the R-Series.
MCL development tools are used to develop complex data capture applications with greater speed and accuracy, when simple terminal emulation is not an option.
MCL is used to design the front end transaction screens for wireless RF terminals and uses a standard ODBC/SQL connection to the host system database using shared tables to provide a real time system for warehouse and shop floor users. Supreme Imports upgrade to Dexterity for Sage 200
Long standing customer of Barcode-IT, Supreme Imports have brought forward the upgrade of their system from Sage Line 100 to Sage 200 in order to support growing order numbers in 2010. As a result of this, Supreme are also upgrading their Dexterity solution to the latest Sage 200 compatible version. The upgrade will take place over the next few months and give Supreme the latest features and benefits to grow their business during 2010. Supreme Imports are a world leader in the distribution of branded batteries and supply 20% of the UK market. The implementation of Dexterity WMS improved the pick accuracy of their system to 99.9%! Dexterity certified for VMware
Dexterity WMS is now fully tested and certified to operate in a Virtual Machine environment (VM). Many companies are making plans to migrate to VM using either VMware or Microsoft VM solutions. Dexterity WMS and Dexterity for Sage 200, are both now available for use in VM with customers now having build Dexterity from scratch in a VM or having cloned an existing Dexterity server into VM. VMware seems to be the product of choice at the moment and customers report few if any issues with the migration to VM.
