Datalogic Scanning launch new PowerScan 8000 series
Datalogic Scanning has announced the release of the PowerScan 8000 family of rugged, industrial scanners designed and constructed to withstand the toughest environmental conditions in demanding applications. The PowerScan 8000 family of products covers all requirements for industrial applications: 1D and 2D decoding capability, short distance as well as long distance reading, corded and cordless communications. LXE acquires Åkerströms Trux AB
LXE Inc has recently announced the acquisition of Åkerströms Trux AB, the Nordic manufacturer of mobile computers for forklift trucks. Åkerströms Trux brings to LXE a new, market-ready Windows XP-based product line targeted at customers running advanced wireless applications in demanding warehousing and production environments.

Honeywell Completes Acquisition of HandHeld Products
Honeywell International has announced the completed acquisition of Hand Held Products Inc., an Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC) company. Hand Held will become a new line of business, called Honeywell Imaging and Mobility within Honeywell's Security Group.

Barcode-IT announce launch of NiceLabel Version 5.1
The newly upgraded version of NiceLabel software builds on the existing functions of NiceLabel 5, adding a variety of new features and enhancements to make label design and print even easier. One of the major enhancements of the software is the ability to print labels through a web interface. This allows the printing of barcode labels and RFID tags from a web interface without any local installation of labelling software or printer drivers. Additionally more design capabilities have been added to the Standard series of products plus RFID enhancements and new integration options.
