SAP Business One Lunch & Learn
An informal peer-to-peer discussion with other SAP Business One users
If you’re running SAP Business One, you’ll know that the ERP is only one part of the bigger picture. The way your warehouse operates, how information is captured, how people interact with your systems and how efficiently goods move through your business can all have a significant impact on how well the whole operation works.
That’s the focus of our latest SAP Business One Lunch & Learn event. Hosted by Barcode-IT and Ascarii, with support from Brady Corporation (formerly Honeywell) we’re bringing together a small group of SAP Business One users for a relaxed and informal day of discussion around some of the practical challenges businesses are facing across supply chain, warehouse and logistics operations.
Rather than a traditional conference or a series of sales presentations, the aim is to create an opportunity to share experiences, ask questions and find out how other SAP Business One users are approaching similar challenges.
An opportunity to share experiences
One of the reasons we wanted to run this event is that in our experience, the most useful conversations happen between businesses facing similar challenges.
We’ll obviously bring our own experience and expertise, but we don’t want this to be a day of people standing at the front of a room telling you how you should run your business. Instead, we want to hear what other SAP Business One users are doing, what they’ve learned along the way and where they’re still looking for answers.
As there is no set agenda, the conversation will be driven by the people in the room and the challenges they’re actually facing, some of which might include:
SAP B1 Warehouse Management Options - there are a number of WMS products that integrate with SAP B1 on the market, but using RDP instead of running applications on devices can cause significant headaches. How do others handle this? Ask the experts what you can do to remove these headaches within your business?
On-Premise or Cloud SAP Business One? - For many businesses, the question of whether to stay with an On-Premise solution or move to the Cloud is becoming increasingly relevant. Feel free to raise questions about the practical differences, the potential benefits and the things you need to consider before deciding which approach is right for your business.
Automation and the connected warehouse - How can businesses make better use of automation and technology without creating unnecessary complexity? See how other businesses use data capture and automation within their warehouse and operational environments and how exactly these technologies can work alongside SAP Business One to improve efficiency and accuracy.
RFID: where does it actually make sense? - RFID has been around for a long time, but it’s increasingly becoming a practical option for businesses looking to improve visibility and automate the capture of information. We’ll look beyond the technology itself and discuss where RFID can add genuine value, where it might not be the right answer, and what implementing it alongside SAP Business One can look like.
AI beyond the headlines - There’s no shortage of conversation around AI at the moment, but what does it actually mean for businesses running SAP Business One? We’ll look at some of the practical applications emerging across operations and supply chain, as well as where AI might genuinely make a difference rather than simply being another technology buzzword.
A little more than just lunch
The event is being held at Northcote Manor, a Michelin-starred hotel and restaurant set in the beautiful Ribble Valley, and alongside discussing all things SAP Business One, we’ll enjoy a three-course seasonal lunch giving everyone plenty of time to continue the conversations in a more relaxed setting. If you’re travelling from further afield, accommodation can also be provided, so there’s no need to worry about making a long journey home after lunch.
Who should attend?
The event is aimed at businesses already using SAP Business One, particularly those involved in operations, supply chain, warehousing, logistics, IT or digital transformation. If you’re interested in how other businesses are using SAP Business One alongside the technology that supports their day-to-day operation, you’ll have something to gain from the discussion. Most importantly, we’re keeping the group relatively small, what means there should be plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share your own experiences and have a proper conversation rather than simply sitting through a series of presentations.
Meet the team behind the event
Barcode-IT
You may also know us as Dash Computer Products and we’ve been working with businesses across warehousing, distribution and manufacturing for nearly 35 years, providing solutions to automate inefficient day-to-day operational tasks. For SAP Business One users, our focus is often on the user experience and ensuring that any mobile devices and print solutions are fully integrated and supported to improve operational efficiency.
Ascarii
Ascarii is our SAP Business One transformation partner, helping businesses get more from their ERP through implementation, optimisation and ongoing transformation and their experience complements ours nicely. While we tend to spend a lot of time looking at the physical operation and the technology used by people on the warehouse floor, Ascarii brings the SAP Business One perspective and the wider business systems picture.
Together, we can look at how the two sides connect and where there are opportunities to make things work better.
Brady Corporation (formerly Honeywell)
Our event is sponsored by Brady, following its acquisition of Honeywell's Productivity Solutions and Services business earlier this year. Brady brings extensive experience in identification, labelling and printing technologies used across manufacturing, warehousing and supply chain environments. These technologies play an important role in connecting products, people and business systems, and we’ll be exploring some of the ways they can be used alongside SAP Business One.
