Utilising over 20 years’ experience in supply chain and logistics management, we can recommend a warehouse management solution to improve efficiency and reduce costs within your business by following industry best practice. We work with partners who can integrate with all leading ERP providers as well as bespoke ERPs, and we work closely with your IT team and software partners, to ensure a smooth implementation and end-to-end solution.
Automate your supply chain by using a barcoded system to manage Goods In, Putaway, Picking, Shipping, Carrier Integration and Stock Takes, and provide a real-time overview of your entire operation. Integrate with your chosen Carrier Service ensures that address information is taken directly from your ordering system and passed to your carrier during the despatch process, eliminating keyboard entry errors and detecting any address errors before goods are despatched, avoiding delays when shipping and improving customer satisfaction.
At Barcode-IT, our aim is to make the process of implementing a warehouse management system as simple and hassle free as possible and our background in barcoding, ensures that we can offer you advice that many of our competitors cannot. Our in house specialists can recommend the right barcode label printers and mobile data capture devices for your needs from world leading manufacturers like Zebra and Datalogic, plus survey and install an industrial wireless network based around your chosen device, which is guarenteed to give the best possible coverage.

Below we have detailed exactly how we guide our customers through the process of preparing for and implementing a Warehouse Management System, so you know exactly what you're getting when you decide to choose a WMS from Barcode-IT:
Our consultants will provide a no-obligation scoping service for your WMS project, which will typically start with a phone conversation to assess what will be a suitable solution for your business and the integration points your business requires. This can then be followed by a site visit to assess the warehouse environment and the challenges you face as a business. We'll then offer our expert opinion on how operational processes can be improved within your business using WMS and industry best practise.
The outcome of this is a project scope, detailing objectives and providing an initial project costing and implementation schedule based on the information given. If you decide to move forward, our professional project management team will work with you to make sure the project is delivered within the agreed time frame and budget.
TRAINING & IMPLEMENTATION
On placing an order for a WMS, you will be appointed a dedicated project manager to oversee the implementation of the project and to act as your main point of contact. The project manager will be responsible for the successful implementation of the entire project, including all elements of the system, i.e. hardware, software and user training.
To ensure the proper use and maintenance of the system, Barcode-IT will provide a comprehensive training programme for your staff. The implementation and training programme will be designed specifically for you to suit your company's individual requirements and will cover the following areas:
Customisation of processes to suite your business needs
Barcode labelling configuration and document design
Full testing of software and remote installation onto a customer provided designated Server
Configuration of warehouse equipment purchased as part of the project, including mobile data capture devices and printers
Onsite "go-live" support as required
Following your WMS going live, a Support Contract will be put in place to give you full access to our UK based support team Monday-Friday between 9am and 5pm, who aim to give a swift and comprehensive response time to any request or issue you may encounter, especially in those first few months when everyone is getting used to the system and user error issues are more likely to occur.
Jon Ponsonby, GFW
This month has been our busiest month on record! This is something that just wouldn't have been possible without the WMS solution, and to be honest I don't think we've seen the biggest benefits the system will bring yet, so I'm confident about the future.
Dave Jackson, Kilo Ltd.
A lot of our products are batch driven, so having a WMS in place allows us to turn around stock quickly and efficiently, whilst doing continuous stock takes. Dealing with live information allows the sales team to see exactly what we've got at any time - the benefits are enormous.
Wayne Jones, Supreme Imports
Our WMS is our warehouse. Our staff find goods exactly where Dexterity guides them to and the management trust the figures that the WMS sends back to Sage. We know exactly what we have and where it is.
